As per the 2000 survey conducted by Choice Magazine the cost of organic fruit and vegetables was on the average 70 percent higher than the non-organic ones, now the difference is decreasing. There can be other reasons for the decrease but the main reason for decrease in price is simply due to the entry of some big names into the organic market such as Coles, Woolworths. . If such big names keep entering in the market then the chances are that the cost of the organic food would decrease more in future.
